With classic titles like Bionic Commando and Super Street Fighter II Turbo seeing high-profile remakes coming this spring, it seems that what once was old is new again. Here’s a list of great remakes that build on their original counterparts, making them worthy of a second look:

 

Tomb Raider Anniversary
Laura’s original adventure is definitely worth another go in Tomb Raider: Anniversary, thanks to revamped controls and some truly intense moments.
Conker: Live and Reloaded
The foul-mouthed squirrel got what he deserved in this Xbox Live-enabled update, with great new graphics and a bevy of online options.
FINAL FANTASY TACTICS: The War of the Lions
The original was a perennial favorite on the PS1, and its PSP follow-up offers updated cutscenes and phenomenal strategy gameplay.
