Racing games have always had a very rabid following, notably with the high-anticipated launches of Sony’s Gran Turismo racing franchise on Sony’s systems. Not only was Colin McRae’s DIRT the best looking racing sim on next-gen consoles when it released, but the deep and engaging gameplay backed it up.
Project Gotham Racing 3
The first game in the series to appear on the Xbox 360, PGR 3 set the bar awfully high for Xbox 360 racers.
Forza Motorsport 2
The only driving sim that can give the immersive Gran Turismo a run for its money, Forza 2 is a fantastic driving game with some great features that put it a step above the rest.
