NEW SCREENS FROM SEGA

SAN FRANCISCO (December 19) -- SEGA of America today released new screens from three of their upcoming winter 2005 releases, Virtua Quest (Nintendo GameCube™ and Sony PlayStation®2 computer entertainment system; available January 11), Tenchu: Fatal Shadows (for PlayStation 2; available February 15), and SEGA Classics Collection (for PlayStation 2; available March 15). All three releases draw upon classic intellectual properties, continuing SEGA's tradition of building upon well-loved franchises.

About Virtua Quest:

Virtua Quest is a 3D Action/RPG that features both core RPG elements (exploration, treasure gathering and character development) and a strong fighting component. The player assumes the identity of a young boy named Sei (pronounced "Say"). As the player explores each stage, he/she will discover "Virtua Souls" – data clusters that contain information about the martial arts abilities of the legendary Virtua Fighter characters. These clusters give the player the ability to easily perform complex fighting moves.

About Tenchu: Fatal Shadows:

Tenchu: Fatal Shadows follows the exploits of two ninjas as they seek revenge for the slaughter of their peaceful mountain village Hagakure. Wishing to understand why her town was attacked, Rin, one of the village's survivors, enlists the aid of Tenchu: Wrath of Heaven heroine Ayame, who has been charged with keeping the peace across the land by her lord, Gouda. Using stealth to sneak quietly into enemy camps, these two warriors use their unique fighting styles to pound enemies to the ground and slit their throats.
