Universal Studios Hosts The FIFA Interactive World Cup

WHAT: The country’s biggest soccer fans and best soccer video gamers will converge on Los Angeles for the chance to be named the 2005 FIFA Interactive World Player. Universal Studios Hollywood will host the United States Regional qualifier of the FIFA Interactive World Cup (FIWC), the largest and only FIFA sanctioned Xbox video game tournament in the world featuring FIFA Soccer 06™ from Electronic Arts (EA).

LA Galaxy soccer stars Landon Donovan (3-7 PM), Todd Dunivant and Kevin Hartman (1-3 PM) will be on hand as special coaches for the players.

The United States Regional winner will earn a trip to London on December 18 to compete in the 2005 FIWC Grand Final Cup™ against seven other regional winners and two Xbox Live online champions. The overall winner will be crowned champion and will be honored on stage with the world’s best footballers at the FIFA World Player Gala in Zurich on December 19, 2005. The US regional winner will also go home with two tickets to a FIFA 2006 World Cup™ match, an Xbox 360™ and a copy of EA’s FIFA 06: Road to FIFA World

The FIFA Interactive World Cup competition is free and open to gamers of all ages. Gamers under 18 will be required to have a consent form signed by a parent/guardian.
