ESPN VIDEOGAMES ANNOUNCES ESPN COLLEGE HOOPS NOW AVAILABLE AT RETAILERS ACROSS NORTH AMERICA

ESPN College Hoops beats the buzzer with the complete college basketball experience

SAN RAFAEL, CA - (November 13, 2003) - ESPN Videogames today announced that ESPN College Hoops has shipped to major retailers across North America. Delivering the high drama of college basketball, ESPN College Hoops combines the veteran ESPN voice talents of Mike Patrick and Jay Bilas as the in-game commentators. Together, the enthusiastic play-by-play of Mike Patrick supported by the veteran analysis of Jay Bilas guarantees the most insightful and entertaining commentary in any college basketball game. Continuing the ESPN Videogames standard of unequaled gameplay entertainment and unmatched innovation, ESPN College Hoops features online play for both the Xbox(tm) videogame system from Microsoft(r) and the PlayStation*2 computer entertainment system. ESPN College Hoops and other ESPN Videogames are produced by Visual Concepts - Sega's sports studio.

"ESPN College Hoops delivers the emotional electricity and fast-paced action that fans of collegiate basketball expect, " said Greg Thomas, president of ESPN Videogames. "There's a story behind every game in college basketball, whether it's an underdog team trying to establish notoriety, or a high-profile program looking to play into March. In developing ESPN College Hoops our focus was to capture the energy and passion of the collegiate sports atmosphere, and we've let nothing stand in the way of realizing this goal."

New and explosive game mechanics have been introduced through the enhanced

IsoMotion(tm) system first featured in ESPN NBA Basketball. With IsoMotion(tm), each scenario is a chess match where defensive or offensive players must make quick decisions to effectively drive to the hoop or stop an opponent. Thus, bringing the one-on-one matchups that are prevalent throughout the team sport to the palms of avid video gamers. Through the enhanced IsoMotion(tm) system in ESPN College Hoops, players have new techniques from the triple threat stance opening up new offensive possibilities from the post and perimeter. On defense, the steal system is enhanced as the user can use the Right Analog stick to swipe in the direction of the ball, increasing the odds of a steal. Users will feel the reward as they use the IsoMotion(tm) system in conjunction with full court presses and half court traps to complete tenaciously executed plays.

ESPN College Hoops also introduces one of the most entertaining new modes to any sports video game - the ESPN Slam Session. Users choose a high-flying dunker from any of the Division I universities, and compete in several different slam dunk formats: Beat The Clock requires the player to finish a number of dunks in the fastest amount of time; Style allows the gamer to choose the dunk difficulty and distance to score the required points; Horse mimics the classic playground game of copycat; and Championship combines all the dunk contests together to determine the real king of 'slammin and

jammin'. Once they're feeling bold enough, players can take their ESPN

Slam Session skills online and compete against others across North America for ultimate bragging rights.

ESPN College Hoops truly immerses players in the college atmosphere by introducing a new, dynamic cut-scene engine. Players will see mascots teasing bad calls by the ref, rival fans screaming at each other, and the band section performing the fight song on every score. These are just a few examples how the game uses its over 100 mascots, over 100 fight songs and over 300 schools to bring the essence of collegiate competition home.

ESPN College Hoops is supported by ESPN videogames online leagues for PlayStation(r)2, and can be accessed by any PC at www.espnvideogames.com by clicking on the 'online gaming' link.
