NEW YORK, NY - October 23, 2001-- Rockstar Games, Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc.'s (NASDAQ:TTWO) high end video game publishing division has shipped "Grand Theft Auto 3," the title which Maxim magazine recently referred to as "a mafioso masterpiece", for the PlayStation(R)2 computer entertainment system.

"'Grand Theft Auto 3' is the magnum opus epitomizing the wide-ranging visions of what we have dreamt of creating for years," stated Sam Houser, president of Rockstar Games. "I believe that this game will do for the video game industry what The Godfather did for the film industry, and open up doors into creating unique and entertaining mature fiction. "'Grand Theft Auto 3' stands out from the crowd of first-rate titles coming out this year and that is a testament to the hard work that DMA Design and Rockstar Games have put into developing and marketing a title that is ground-breaking and truly speaks to the consumer."
