Midway make headway at Game Stars Live with Mortal Kombat: Deception's
UK Premiere Thursday 19 August 2004/... Leading interactive software developer and publisher Midway Games has confirmed that it will be showcasing three stunning games at Game Stars Live 2004: NBA Ballers, PSI-Ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy, and an exclusive UK premiere of Mortal Kombat: Deception.
The latest offering from the massively successful long-running Mortal Kombat franchise, MK: Deception will be available for the UK public to play for the first time in the Over-18 zone at Game Stars Live 2004. Want to try your luck against Sub-Zero, Scorpion or Raiden? Brace yourself for some serious martial arts-style fighting that will appeal to longtime Mortal Kombat fans and next-generation gamers alike. MK: Deception is also the first 3D combat game to feature online gameplay for both PS2 and Xbox consoles.
Aside from this exclusive MK coup, PSI-Ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy will also be on hand, testing your psychic abilities and requiring you to fight with the powers of your mind, while NBA Ballers offers intense one-on-one competition with the likes of basketball legends Tracy McGrady, Magic Johnson and Wilt Chamberlain .

Leaders of the video game revolution since inception, Midway Games was responsible for early groundbreaking titles such as Robotron, Gauntlet, Defender and Spy Hunter. True to form, today's releases are just as exciting, with recent blockbusters including The Suffering, Midway Arcade Treasures and the continuing Mortal Kombat series.
Game Stars Live is a brand new computer and video games exhibition, taking place at ExCeL in London's Docklands on 1-5 September. Other exclusive game premieres include Halo 2 and Pro Evolution Soccer 4, whilst the event will also play host to the European Online Gaming Championships.
Game Stars Live www.gamestarslive.co.uk runs from September 1st to September 5th at London's impressive ExCeL exhibition facility in Docklands, and will boast a show floor the size of three football pitches filled with the latest games, gadgets and gizmos. Open to the public, it will be the first chance for the young and old alike to road-test the hottest new technology.
Game Stars Live is based on the ITV video and computer games show, Game Stars. It will be a multi-format consumer gaming event and will include a main stage area from which the media partners including ITV and Kiss FM will broadcast. It will also include a series of features such as The Bear Pit games challenges, The Virtual vs. Reality Zone, The European Online Gaming Championships, and Get Into Gaming, a careers and education zone, amongst many others.
