STRAIGHT OUT OF THE HANGAR: NAMCO RELEASES 50 NEW SCREENSHOTS FOR ACE COMBAT 5

Installment of the ACE COMBAT Franchise
San Jose, Ca., (July 23, 2004) – Leading video games developer and
publisher Namco Hometek Inc. announced today the availability of 50 new
screenshots for ACE COMBAT5, the company’s highly anticipated
premiere air combat game. The new screens offer a detailed look at a variety of
in-game elements including scenic environments, aerial refueling, squadron
formations and coordinated group attacks. In addition, the screens showcase
several featured aircraft, including F-16s, SU-35s and Rafale series jets,
performing takeoffs and landings. Developed by Namco Limited in Japan, ACE
COMBAT 5 will soar to retail shelves for the Sony PlayStation®2 computer
entertainment system in Fall 2004.
ACE COMBAT 5 combines intense dog fighting and real-life graphics
with the adrenaline rush of commanding your squadron, to offer the most powerful
title to date in the renowned ACE COMBAT franchise. Offering more than
50 licensed planes and a deep storyline extending over 30 missions, players are
challenged with air-to-air combat, air-to-ground fighting, air-to-sea assaults,
rescue, recon and more. Now featuring Wingman Command, players can issue
mid-mission directives to three fellow wingmen and carry out coordinated group
attacks. Additionally, in-game radio communications add additional depth,
strategy and realism to the game’s dynamic battle sequences.
