BALDWIN PARK, CA - June 20, 2003 - Naki International, videogame accessories manufacturer, announces that the Hulk-Pad is now in wide distribution throughout retail stores nationwide, ready to be ripped off shelves by tormented moviegoers seeking an outlet to unleash their fury in true Hulk fashion.
Having been Marvel’s exclusive licensee for all videogame accessories through a previous comic-to-movie smash hit, Naki now synchs perfectly with today’s Hulk theatrical debut by offering Hulk themed videogame accessories. "The product is yet another medium through which moviegoers, gamers, and comic book fans can further bond with the tortured green giant," says Kathy Kim, Naki’s Marketing Manager. "We knew how we needed to present this property in the form of a videogame accessory to our target markets, and so far the response for the Hulk-Pad has been strong."
"Naki has created a truly Hulked out videogame controller that well complements the videogame through its green gamma glowing effect and simulated Hulk breathing*," notes Michael Kidakarn, Naki’s Product Development Director, who was in close communication with both Universal Interactive and Radical Entertainment throughout the course of the Hulk-Pad’s development process. He adds, "We wanted to create a product that could convey the essence of the Hulk through as many sensory stimulators as possible. We even entertained the thought of having the controller emit a certain ‘Hulk’ scent, but finally decided against making the controller smell of Pine-Sol® or mint leaves."
The Hulk-Pad is available for PS2 ($19.99), GameCube ($19.99), and Xbox ($24.99) videogame systems.
