THQ SET TO RELEASE RED FACTION FOR PLAYSTATION 2

Highly Anticipated Action Thriller To Ship On May 22

(NASDAQ NMS: THQI) announced today that its highly anticipated action title, Red Faction(tm) for the Sony PlayStation(r) 2 computer entertainment system will ship May 22. Developed by THQ subsidiary, Volition Inc., the creators of Summoner(tm), Red Faction delivers an adrenaline-pumping experience featuring intense action and an engaging story line built upon breakthrough technology. Volition''s proprietary Geo-Mod(tm) engine allows players to alter, deform and outright destroy the game environment in real-time-- for the first time ever in videogame history.
