Classic Old-School Brands Updated for a New Generation of Gamers
SAN FRANCISCO (March 22, 2005) SEGA® of America, Inc. today announced the availability of Shining Tears™ and SEGA Classics Collection on the PlayStation®2 computer entertainment system.
SHINING TEARS Shining Tears is the new installment in SEGA's renowned Shining series, a franchise that has been popular with RPG enthusiasts for nearly 15 years. The title's action-oriented gameplay marks a dramatic departure for the series, though the familiar look and feel of the Shining world remains intact. Cooperative play is heavily emphasized here; two players can work together through the exclusive Link Battle System to unlock up to eight different endings. Solo players can progress through the title using a totally unique control scheme, which allows a single user to manage two characters simultaneously. Shining Tears is rated ‘T' for ‘Teen' and is available at retailers nationwide for an MSRP of $49.95.
SEGA CLASSICS COLLECTION The SEGA Classics Collection is a value-priced compilation of nine remixed arcade hits. Included in the compilation are OutRun, Space Harrier, Golden Axe, Virtua Racing, Columns, Fantasy Zone, Alien Syndrome, Monaco GP, and Bonanza Bros. All of the games have been given fresh audio tracks and graphical enhancements. SEGA Classics Collection is rated ‘T' for ‘Teen' and is available at retailers nationwide for an MSRP of $19.95.
