2002 FIFA World Cup Review

This Soccer game will be enjoyed by soccer fans or anyone who enjoys a challenging sports related game.

Take part in the 2002 FIFA World Cup in Japan and Korea with your chosen finalist. You select a team from the 32 qualifiers and start your quest to reach the pinnacle of world sports. To begin the competition, you will have 8 groups of 4 teams that place each other once each. You must finish in the top 2 positions in your groups to qualify for the knockout phase and decide the world champion. Depending on your ability, you can play at different levels from amateur to world pro.

The world cup screen is where you can view the next fixture, continue the competition, view its status, adjust game settings, save your progress and manage your team, controlling every aspect of a team's performance. In options you can select match, stadium, gameplay, visual, audio, and control settings. You can also adjust the camera height and zoom of each in game camera.

The life like star players are the actual world's most skilled players, they are distinguishable by a star icon above their heads, their star abilities are highlighted.

The graphics are awesome. The players moves and emotions are uncanny in their realism. The commentators do a good job keeping it fresh and amusing and unlike other games we've played the commentators don't keep repeating themselves.

Follow on-screen instructions and refer to the game manual for complete game instructions including advanced game play - passing, lobbing, ball spin, through runs, shooting, tackling, heading, volleying, and special moves.

You don't have to be a big soccer fan to enjoy this game. With easy controls my 8 year old had no problem and enjoyed playing the game. At the end of each game you'll be rewarded when your team wins with an "Over the top" Celebration.

Rated E for everyone.
