Conflict: Global Terror Preview
In Global War, you actually play as the heroes from Conflict: Desert Storm, Bradley, Jones, Connors and the others. As your group of elite soldiers takes on the enemy threat, you discover that there is a mole operating within your group as your entire crew gets ambushed, causing one of your team to go missing.
Aside from the new storyline elements, Global Terror has a co-op mode for the story, just in case you feel like teaming up with a friend to blaze through the game’s missions. You can complete the game’s missions in different ways, from using stealth to throwing it down for straight combat.
The team AI as well as the enemy AI has been greatly improved, as your squadmates will act on their own accord, being aware of their environments and using advanced combat techniques and enemies will do the same, taking cover and using attack and retreat tactics to take you out.
Graphically, Conflict: Global Terror is a good looking game, even on the PS2 build. The game uses a realistic rag-doll physics engine, and the character models and uniforms are highly detailed and look great.
Conflict: Global Terror is shaping up to be a good shooter game that will elevate the series to new heights with modern combat and a new storyline. It ships this October.
