Ghost In The Shell - Stand Alone Complex

Fans of Ghost of the Shell have two things to be excited about this Fall – The premiere of Ghost in the Shell – Stand Alone Complex on the Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim and its video game counterpart on the Playstation 2.  Bandai brings one of Anime’s biggest franchises to the PS2 as a third-person shooter/fighter that should leave fans of the series very satisfied.  Players will be able to kick, punch, and shoot their way through the 12 levels with fifteen kinds of weapons, from snipers to explosives, and many martial arts moves. 

Gamers can choose to play as the athletically-inclined Major Motoko or the burly gun-totin’ Batou.  The characters can ‘hack’ into enemies, rendering them useless, tracking them, or even taking control of them, which will be necessary in some levels.  The game also boasts an enjoyable four-person multi-player mode, which was still in development.  The only downside with the game?  It’s a brief seven hours of gameplay.  Look for Ghost in the Shell – Stand Alone Complex in November of 2004.
